Gutter Cleaning

Gutters carry rainwater away from your property and prevent flooding. From roof to foundation, gutters protect your home and landscaping from costly water damage.

Black streaks on your gutters? These “tiger stripes” are NOT dirt alone. Yes, some of the contaminants on the gutters may be dirt, mold, bird droppings and algae, but the majority are from rain running over the asphalt shingles and dripping over the side of the gutter. They are caused when certain materials within your composite roofing shingles become “electro-statically” bonded to the surface of your rain gutters. These streaks form on the exterior facing of gutters when contaminants adhere and bond to the aluminum surface, becoming embedded. If left untreated, this chemical reaction will permanently discolor your gutters. The bond is so strong, that it is impossible to remove them with just soap and water.
